New features, improvements, fixes and file compatibility notes.

Data Modelling Tool v0.2.0

Current production version

Added

  • Quick Start help explains the main workflow and keyboard shortcuts.
  • A persistent model change log: add a short note each time you save, viewable

from its own panel and saved together with the model XML.

  • Fullscreen canvas mode with right-click layout controls for arranging tables.
  • Export the diagram as a JPG image or an SVG vector graphic, readable at any

model size.

  • A public update log (Help > What's new) lists released and upcoming version

notes and flags versions you have not read yet.

  • Optional, privacy-safe product analytics with a pluggable Umami adapter.

Disabled by default and never reads model contents.

Improved

  • A compact single-row toolbar groups File, Settings and Help actions while

keeping Save directly available.

  • About shows the application version and a build identifier that can help

when reporting a problem.

  • The Inspector panel can be closed directly from its header.
  • A table missing a primary key now produces a warning instead of blocking

Snowflake DDL export; the generated DDL omits the constraint instead of an invalid empty clause.

  • Search engines and social previews show accurate page titles, descriptions,

and a preview image for the public site.

Compatibility

Model XML files saved before this release continue to open normally, with an empty change log. Team-rules file format is unchanged. Desktop Chrome and Edge remain the supported browsers; model files are processed locally.
